Counselling for young people and adults in Maidstone
"Feeling listened to and understood changes our physiology; being able to articulate a complex feeling, and having our feelings recognised, lights up our limbic brain and creates an 'aha moment'"
Bessel Van Der Kolk
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: 15.12.20: In line with government guidance, I am taking measures to practice safely. I encourage clients to access sessions via video or telephone where possible. In November I transferred to a larger room with plenty of space for social distancing in excess of 2m and with an external window for ventilation.
How can counselling help me?
Counselling is a universal service that anyone can benefit from if they are interested in understanding themselves and willing to engage in the process.
Counselling is the regular opportunity to explore and make sense of our lives, with a trusted individual, trained to support you. You may consider counselling if you are feeling desperation and despair, a sense of extreme or mild dissatisfaction in your life or if you have an interest in expanding your understanding of yourself. Whatever your reason for accessing counselling; improving your understanding and processing your experience can boost wellbeing and your enjoyment of life.
