Counselling is a universal option that gives space for collaborative exploration, validation, problem solving and action planning. Typically a more long term approach, counselling allows for the development of a more trusting and open therapeutic relationship, which can be easily returned to in times of need.
EMDR combines elements of standard counselling, whilst following a more structured approach, whereby we activate your brain's own self-healing system, for rapid change. Therefore if you are looking for results in a shorter number of sessions, then this might be best suited for you.

Wingwave is another rapid technique and is particularly helpful when we do not consciously know what's holding us back and where we have clear goals for the future.

Supporting Young People
I specialise in working with young people aged 11 and above. Young people not only experience a unique range of stressors but their development also plays a key role in their mental health. I have extensive experience working with young people in schools, the community and privately. I allocate 90% of sessions to young people in private practice.
